We are never allowed to be victims:Botham Jean

On September 6th, 2018 in Dallas,TX, Police officer Amber Guyger allegedly thought she was entering her own apartment when she shot, and killed Botham Jean in his apartment. Guyger stated that she tried to enter her keys in the door knob, and they didn’t work. Soon after a man (Botham Jean) then opened the apartment door. She claims she thought he was an intruder. A few days later Guyger’s story changed. Her new story states that the apartment door was slightly ajar and that she saw Botham’s silhouette from across the room when she entered the apartment. Allegedly she gave him orders and he didn’t follow them therefore she shot him. Most people know what their home looks like, and usually apartments have numbers on the door that’s assigned to the resident. How is it that Amber Guyger is unaware of what the inside of her home looks like or where she lives? Continue reading “We are never allowed to be victims:Botham Jean”

B.A.M.N.

I’m exasperated with the fact that I am forced to write about another unarmed Black person being gunned down by the police. What’s most disturbing to me is that so many people still don’t understand why we are upset. We continue to protest in an attempt to get national attention and recognition, yet the protests end with no resolution and little to no change with police brutality against Black people. America just continues on with business as usual. That’s exactly what America is: A business.

AR15s and things

There is no doubt that the USA has a serious issue when it comes to mass school shootings. There have been 18 reported school shootings in 2018 alone, even though this is only the 2nd month of the year. There has recently been constant conversations about the latest shooting that took place in Florida, which includes the victims’ parents and other students coming forward demanding something to be done. California Love

A couple of months ago I wrote a blog titled “War on Drugs.” The article discussed how the Government consistently threw African Americans in prison if they were addicted to crack cocaine and for the use or distribution of drugs. It also discussed how currently  White Americans are addicted to heroin, synthetic heroin,  and prescription drugs the Government offers them free rehabilitation. Not jail time! Thanks to Twitter that blog has been revived, shared, and new comments have been added. Continue reading “California Love”

Handle YOUR business in the bathroom.

image

I take weekly trips to Target- sometimes three times a week. My trips include me drinking a Sweet Tooth Latte from Biggby and consuming a bottle of Absopure right after. After I go through the home goods, cleaning, intimates, and grocery aisles, it happens: the great bathroom debate. I’m stuck in checkout trying to figure out if I can retain my urge to tinkle until I get home. Continue reading “Handle YOUR business in the bathroom.”
